Last Bronze Assessment 2007
Water was to be the theme for day 1 of this final bronze expedition. It poured all day, it was cold, it was wet, the water got everywhere. But it didn't dampen the spirits of a determined group of pupils.Such was the amount of water that had fallen that the river flowing through Glen Quoich was spectacular - though deserving of care and respect. Compare this picture of The Devils Punchbowl to one that featured in a report several days ago!
As the staff worked their way up the east bank of the river the views were spectacular
Even Dave would't have paddled down this!
By the end of the day the pupils had every right to feel cheerful as they reached their campsite.
The next day saw a change in weather as the pupils began their journey home.
Several herds of reindeer were sighted.
First to finish were the boys - they certainly look finished!
Not long after the next group arrived.
Everyone raced to retrieve the well chilled coke from the nearby river.
Happiness!
Many thanks to all the staff who give up their time to supervise and support these expeditions - whatever the weather throws at them.
And for the pupils? A special well done to the 60 of you who successfully completed your expeditions despite the challenges that you faced. All the staff commented on how impressed they have been with you. Well done. We hope to see you at Silver .... The experience only gets better ...
