Why Join the Mailing List?

Regular visitors to our site will know that we are always looking for better ways to improve our communication with pupils and their parents. We also have a strong reputation as an eco friendly school, being past winners of the prestigious Green Flag Award. When you add that to the fact that we are continually trying to improve and modernise our approach to education in the 21st century, our mailing list makes complete sense to us !

The plain fact is that, at present, we try to deliver news about the school to parents through the school newsletter which appears around four times a year and infrequent letters to parents about specific issues. Important though this is to us, it does involve a variety of costs:

Perhaps the most important is the environmental one. We produce over
1500 copies of each newsletter using a huge amount of paper

Each edition also ties up our reprographics staff for a lengthy period of time

Lastly, there are obviously financial costs involved.

Enter the electronic system ! We are adding a function to our website to enable us to send bulk emails to parents offering news about life in the school. Apart from alleviating the above costs it offers us the chance to do the following:

Communicate more frequently with parents. We would envisage sending
an email every month or so

Communicate urgent information about upcoming events and include
trailers for some of the stories from the website.


So, we would encourage all our parents to sign up using the form on the front page of the website. We look forward to including you in our next electronic newsletter.
