One of the areas which parents often ask us about is that of homework. All pupils have their homework diaries but some will inevitably forget to bring them while others seem to manage to forget to write it down !

We know that parents are keen to help with this. However, this is difficult if they don't know what homework has been given. We have, therefore, embarked on a new project on the school website which will result by the end of session in us having all homework posted on the web by the end of the day it is given. We know...... a little ambitious but we have started to train pupil "helpers" who will do this in classes.

So far we have trained 30 and that is only for the English department who are the first to sign up . The Maths department have been next to volunteer and we hope to have theirs online by the end of next week.

Pupils in those departments involved will be given a piece of homework to show their parents how and where to access the homework. From then on parents will be able to check what homework has been given by those subjects.

Of course, Mr Urquhart in the PE department has been putting the actual resources up for the homework for some time as his classes already know. Check out Resources/Physical Education.
