Health WeekBy hfleming | Wednesday 18th Jan 2006 11:53 This week Perth High School is running a series of events and competitions as part of Health Week.
Body Combat classes are being held everyday this week in the Assembly Hall from 1.00-1.30.
There will be talks on nutrition from the school nurses in the senior dining room on Wednesday lunchtime and in the junior dining room on Thursday lunchtime. There will also be stalls in the concourse throughout the week with information on such topics as mental health, young people and alcohol. Delicious fruit smoothies will be available in the dining halls every day. At breaks and lunchtimes this week there will be a 'litter lottery', a scheme in which raffle tickets are given out to pupils who put their rubbish in the bin. The raffle winner will be announced each day on the school radio and will win free food from the healthy vending machine. At the end of the week one lucky person wil also win a record voucher. |
