The Perth High School Debating Society was joined last night by Neil Dewar, an Oxford University student reading Physics and Philosophy, for a fascinating debating workshop. Neil, a representative of the Oxford Union, not only wowed the existing members of the society, but also managed to persuade a new recruit to join us! PHDS hopes to compete in regional debates throughout the year and, after Neil’s informative and exceptional talk, we hope to take ourselves all the way to the finals next year!
